Our Story
Hawcrest is a new online general store based in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The name is a small tribute to where we are.
"Haw" comes from the hawthorn, whose blossom has been Missouri's official state flower since 1923. "Crest" means the top of a hill or ridge, a nod to the Summit in Lee's Summit, which, according to the City of Lee's Summit, sits at the highest point on the railroad between Kansas City and St. Louis.
